Why You Shouldn't Let Kids Have Crayons in the Car

Tuesday (7/1/08) when I came out from having my pedicure this is what I found on the running board of my car

This is the melted crayon that my first reaction was to throw on the ground, then I remembered to take a picture so I could blog about this.
This is what was left after I threw the wrapper on the ground, luckily I got it all wiped up (I think). But good lesson learned, NO CRAYONS IN THE CAR IN THE SUMMER!!!!

Being Frugal And Having A Blast!!!!

Today was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil A, and 7-11's Birthday. So knowing about this ahead of time I was dreading going, because of my fear of crowds and too many people. I picked Kami & Liz up from swim team and they insisted on a free slurpee, so I stopped and let them go in. They were pretty disappointed with the small size (7.11 ozs), but happy none the less. So the next freebie was a real scary one for me because I know how crowded Chick Fil A can be. I even had nightmares about it. So after some convincing we arrived at Chick Fil A at about 11:20 am for lunch and no one was there. We made our headbands there at the table. I couldn't stop laughing because I thought it was so funny, there weren't very many others there trying to get free food. (Danielle says she was more embarrassed by my laughing than our headbands). We all got a free entree and we just had to buy drinks and fries. It was a great time!!! I have learned that I have to put my anxiety to the side so that my children can have a great time, and I can be the mom that they need, and deserve.

Something To Do on a Monday Night

Paul called home today and was wondering what was going on tonight. I told him nothing, he said that he had something for the kids to do and all I would have to do is help at the end. Here is what he had them help him do:

The girls thought it was so fun to shave Dad's head, and kept fighting over who's turn it was. Lexi caught his ear with the clipper, so that made Kami scared that she might hurt or cut him. But I really think that Liz is going to be the hair stylist in our family, she seemed like a natural at trimming his hair, and was a real perfectionist!!!! Let me just tell you that I am so glad about that because I think it is so gross to help him with his hair, I would rather he go pay for a haircut than for me to have to help.

Kami & Liz Ballet Recital

Kami & Liz took ballet class with their very best friend Addison Ware. They all danced great during the recital!!!

Alexis PreBallet Recital

Our little Lexi had her first dance recital!!! She did amazing, we are so proud of her.

Alexis & Savannah before the recital

Lexi doing her backwards glance, I love it when she does that!! Sorry my camera took blurry pictures during the recital

Alexis and Savannah after the recital. Lexi had rubbed her eyes so her makeup was everywhere. Ellie Ware got there late and left right after so we didn't get a picture with her, so sad.....

Sleeping In

Well this morning I woke up to the phone ringing........at 9:15 am. Kami and Liz had swim team at 8:45, guess they were not going, I realized this fairly quickly into the phone call. A few minutes after I got off of the phone, I realized that I had a nail appt at 9 am, guess I wasn't going to make that either.... So after I called Kris to let her know I had slept in, I went to find out if the kids were still asleep. I found all 3 of them asleep in Kami's bed, and just had to take a picture of what I found!!!!!!
